Day 5 Washington - Cedar Creek NJ

Nice little sleep in till around 8. Managed another onboard shower - hot water this time! I was in fear of the water running out altogether but I scraped through thank goodness! Then on the road again! Bye to DC (which I just learnt is not in a state, it is it's own district, the only place like it in US - geography lesson for me and my fellow Brits!). 2.5 hour drive time to our next sight, Longwood Gardens, Pensylvania (an idea born out of an advert Sean had seen!). So glad he had seen it! What a place! Gorgeous formal gardens, conservatory, tree houses, amazing kids garden - really worth the journey. If you haven't been - put it on your 'to do' list now!! A sweet friend of mine had mentioned a couple of years ago a garden shop/nursery owned by Anthropologie in Pensylvania. I happened to remember today so sent her a message. Turned out 'Terrain' was just 15 minutes from where we were, and they have a great looking restaurant. Double bonus - we get to shop and eat before heading to our next stop. What a gorgeous place, I'm not kidding, I could have spent three hours looking at and touching everything in that store! For my Friends in England www.shopterrain.com and swoon. The restaurant was amazing too. It was like sitting in a greenhouse come Anthropologie shop and the food was delicious too! Downside, we spent way too long there and still had a long journey on to the next campsite.
