Trike ride & sunset surf

Nice lazy morning after our late night with a little dip in the sea, before we headed out in a tricycle for lunch. Nice Irish bar, Paradiso for some much needed hangover food! Then back to Crystal beach. The tricycle was a fun way to see the local area and the kids loved seeing how many we could squeeze in!
The kids, Eddie and Sean managed a surf in the afternoon. Sean managed to get up and ride at lease one good wave which was awesome - so impressed. I didn’t even try much to the boys disappointment. I wish I’d done it yesterday when I felt human.
We got to see the sun setting as the kids were surfing and go a great sunset before we left. Stunning.
After showering and packing we spent our last couple of hours at the restaurant hanging out before our drive back to Manila.
We really had the best time with The Lavelle’s who showed us what felt like the real Philippines, and was so nice to just slot back in with such lovely friends. They also, of course gave me my first hangover of the trip! Thanks Katie!! Love you all - you really are a beautiful, inspiring family.
We left at 9pm in the end fearing our journey back might be as horrendous as our journey out, but actually we ended up getting to Manila in 3.5 hours so were now super early. We headed to our gate as quick as we could, found some chairs to stretch ourselves out and tried to sleep. Not the best, but managed to grab the odd half hour here and there, while Sean drank lots of coffee.
