Morning departure to Sandakan dock to board a boat to head along the Kinabatangan River. En-route we saw Proboscis monkeys and a family of otters which helped keep the boys interested!
After a little rest at our new home for the night ‘Abai Jungle Lodge’ we jump on the boat again for a night tour and saw Proboscis monkeys , baby crocodile and the most amazing display by fire flies that lit up like a Christmas tree!
After a delicious buffet dinner we went on the night jungle tour and saw a ton of insects and birds, even a cicada shedding it’s skin which was very cool.
Slept like a baby to the chorus of the jungle.
